Gold Medal Winner
Maker: Ian Devereux (Founder), Brett Adams (Winemaker)
Composition: 100% Merlot from Ibex Vineyard in St. Helena.

Street Cred: In the bottle this wine has won 16 Gold Medals in three vintages, including a recent win at the SF Chronicle Wine Competition.
About: Musician turned journalist turned winery owner – Ian Devereux is the contrarian vintner behind Maker’s first Merlot. While Merlot is often thought of as a blending grape, Ian wants to showcase that Merlot can stand alone as a single-vineyard wine. It has the structure and power that one would expect of a Cabernet, with a softer, silkier side, and a long, smooth finish.

Maker is premium canned wine from independent winemakers. We source award-winning wines from the best small producers in California. Each can of wine highlights the story of the small producer who made it, and represents a different maker and region that we love.
We prioritize wine producers from diverse backgrounds that use organic and sustainable farming practices. Our wines are fermented to dry, with zero grams of sugar, and minimal sulfur additions. The wine is not “changed” or “dumbed down” for the can — it is the same award-winning wine you can find in bottles at the makers’ wineries.
Event Zoom link and calendar invitations will be sent via email a few days after registration.
While we encourage enjoying your Maker wine out of a wine glass to truly experience the aromas and taste of the wine, feel free to enjoy it straight from the can as well!
If you’re not completely over-the-moon, where-were-these-wines-all-my-life excited about your first experience with Maker, we will refund you in full. That’s how confident we are that you will love these wines!
