Ah, Riesling. The wine with many personas. It can range from sweet, to off-dry, to dry, still or sparkling. Some might associate it with being a dessert wine, but Riesling's dry alter ego will blow your socks off. Upon first sip you'll find a well-structured, deliciously aromatic wine, sans the sweetness - reminiscent of Alsatian and German styles wine collectors vie for.
This Sparkling Riesling is very special to Nicole, as it was the first wine she made to launch her winery, Ser, in 2012. The fruit is from the iconic Wirz Vineyard in Cienega Valley - an old-vine and organically-farmed planting that produces bright, naturally acidic fruit with distinctive minerality. A food lover's dream, try it paired with a variety of dishes from sushi and charcuterie to oysters and Asian dishes.

Meet the maker
Nicole is a Santa Cruz surfer making big waves in cool-climate wine, growing super rare grapes in rugged coastal terrain. After working in wine around the world—from Michigan to New Zealand to Santa Cruz—she started her label, Ser, which means “to express origin” in Spanish. Ser specializes in unique single-vineyard, single-varietal wines like this dry Sparkling Riesling that are a pure reflection of where they came from.
