Meet the wine
The Cinsault for this wine is sourced from Windfall Farms Vineyard in the Creston District of Paso Robles AVA, which sits on calcareous soils with high-pH and limited nutrients — conditions that, combined with wide day-to-night temperature swings, result in beautifully bright red fruit and vibrant natural acidity. Cinsault is a very delicate grape with almost no tannin and very light pigmentation. Thanks to the saignéed method used during fermentation – which involves “bleeding” off a portion of red wine juice after it's been in contact with the skins and seeds – this Bubbly Red has rich berry flavor while retaining its beautiful, floral perfumed character with flavors of fresh red fruit. And the critics agree—Bubbly Red just took home the gold medal at the SF Chronicle Int'l Wine Competition!

Nicole is a Santa Cruz surfer making big waves in cool-climate wine, growing super rare grapes in rugged coastal terrain. After working in wine around the world—from Michigan to New Zealand to Santa Cruz—she started her label, Ser, which means “to express origin” in Spanish. Ser specializes in unique single-vineyard, single-varietal wines like this sparkling 100% Cinsault that retains its coastal floral notes.
