Inspired by French Sancerre and grown in the hills above Clear Lake, CA, this Sauvignon Blanc is all about freshness and lift. High-elevation vines and cool evening breezes preserve bright acidity and vivid aromatics. The result is a crisp, aromatic wine with layers of Meyer lemon, yuzu, white grapefruit, and a whisper of gardenia — a California wine with a distinctly French accent.

These grapes are grown in the hills above Clear Lake, where the hot afternoons give them depth while the cool nights preserve acidity and aromatics. Made with minimal intervention using stainless steel to preserve the delicacy of the wine and lees contact to add complexity, this Sauvy B stays lifted and refreshing with surprising depth. We love it with oysters on the half shell, herby roasted chicken, and of course, a tangy goat cheese salad.

Meet the maker
Rogelio Alvarado’s path to winemaking began far from Napa or Sonoma. After arriving from Michoacán, Mexico at 14, he spent three decades working every job in the cellar, rising to head winemaker roles at Asti, Fetzer, Beringer, and Blue Rock. Today he brings a French-inspired, minimal-intervention approach to Lake County fruit. Equal parts scientist and artist, Rogelio believes the best wines should feel precise, effortless, and honest.
